Es.Arte Gallery, concerned about the environment and committed to awareness and change, celebrated its first anniversary with a call to action by organizing the open call “Tierra de Hambre.”
We received more than 500 proposals from artists around the world, and the jury selected 17 works, which were exhibited in the group show TIERRA DE HAMBRE, A Call to Awareness from June 28 to August 2018.
The artist selected for the solo exhibition was Aurora Cid, who was awarded a solo show presented in October 2018. Following this selection, we continued working with Marina Gadea, Damla Özdemir, and Carle Azcón.
Es Arte Gallery presents, from March 8 to March 31, 2019, the group exhibition Be a Woman and Smile. This exhibition, whose opening will take place on March 8 (International Women’s Day), will showcase the work of various national and international artists with a shared goal: art as a struggle for change toward a better future. A proposal to empower women to express themselves not from weakness, but from strength, without escaping their true nature. Discovering themselves, without humiliation and without imitating men. A call that breaks borders and ethnic, cultural, linguistic, political, and economic inequalities… Strength, life, capability, sensitivity, understanding, love, beauty, and equality are the key words of this exhibition.
After a meticulous curatorial process among the many applicants, we selected 16 works, highlighting for their quality and theme the works of Marc Boom, Eva Millares, Inés Rojo, Lola del Castillo, among others.
